REP. CORREA STATEMENT ON SHOOTING AT CONGRESSIONAL BASEBALL TEAM PRACTICE

Washington, D.C.—After the shooting at the Republican Congressional Baseball team practice Rep. Correa released the following statement:

Our thoughts and prayers are with my colleagues, their staff, and our Capitol Police in this very difficult moment. We are all Americans and violence has no place in a democracy.

I am profoundly grateful for the courage and dedication shown by the Capitol Police. Without their bravery and willingness to step into harm’s way, many of my colleagues may not be here now.

I wish everyone wounded a complete recovery and pray for their speedy return.
